Yesterday my bestie A and I discussed one of our favorite Vogue early 90 spreads with a choice of our models Helena Christensen as a Spanish beauty with a touring exhibition trailer. The fashion was heavily influenced by Spain Andalusia with fiery red, tiered, flamenco dresses, scarves artfully woven, fans of brocade and hairstyles. Funny how we both remember so vividly. I am obsessed with everything Spanish - I think the CD to practice the conversation in the car, I force friends on holiday in Spain, as far as possible, I certainly flamenco classes this fall and I'm in a red polka dot skirt and black to invest so I can channel my inner Andalusian Gypsies.
